View this video congratulating our 2020 grads
Dear Class of 2020,
I have never been prouder of a graduating class than I am of the Class of 2020. Even
before this global pandemic, many of you overcame many obstacles to earn your degrees and
certificates. You worked hard, you challenged yourself and you hoped to celebrate in a much
different way than this. Despite all odds, you are the largest graduating class in the history
of Fullerton College.
Collectively, the Class of 2020 have applied for 4,625 degrees. This is an increase of 23.83 percent over last year and it makes the Class of 2020 the largest graduating class in the history of Fullerton College! For those of you who planned to graduate and/or transfer but were caught off track – please know that we understand. Fullerton College is still here for you, and we sincerely hope you come back this summer or fall.

When we first transitioned to distance learning, we surveyed you and learned that the majority of our graduates preferred to postpone commencement to celebrate in person, rather than go purely virtual. In this time of uncertainty, I cannot promise the specific date at this time of when that will be. But it is certain that it will happen, when it is safe to gather again.
However, our team at the college could not let this important time pass without celebrating you and all that you have accomplished. We hope that you enjoyed receiving your Buzzy Bundle care packages and that the messages of congratulations on this website bring you joy and show you how the faculty and staff of Fullerton College care deeply for you and your success. Graduates who missed the opportunity to receive a Buzzy Bundle, will be able to purchase a cap and gown when the postponed ceremony is announced. Diploma covers will also be given out for free during the in-person ceremony.
Class of 2020 – your time at Fullerton College is ending, and you are entering the next chapter of your life when our local and global communities need you most. Keep working hard, be strong, be creative and use the knowledge you have gained at Fullerton College as a springboard to be part of progress and positive change in this world.
Once a Hornet, Always a Hornet!
Sincerely,
Greg Schulz, Ed.D.
